Hey there! I'm Amanda Bak and welcome to my personal website / digital portfolio!
I graduated from Dartmouth in June 2020 with a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering & Music (and was just one class away from a minor in Biology). Currently, I am working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Elevate Outdoor Collective.
I am a playful individual who is passionate about mechanical engineering and human-centered design. I love the creative processes of brainstorming and designing, but equally love rolling up my sleeves to prototype and tinker. I thrive in a team environment; I enjoy working closely with others, being able to share and challenge ideas together. I am inspired by innovative and delightful solutions that brighten people's lives and positively impact the world around us.
I grew up in the beautiful mountains of Reno, Nevada, spent my undergraduate years in the granite hills of Hanover, New Hampshire, started my career in the tech valleys of Mountain View, California, and am now exploring the incredible PNW nature of Seattle, Washington. Regardless of where I am geographically, in my free time you can find me skiing corduroy on bluebird days, playing acoustic tunes on my baby Taylor, or trying to chase powerlifting and ultra running personal records. I'm so thankful for all of the experiences I have had so far, and I can't wait to see what comes next!
