During the winter quarter of my undergraduate sophomore year (2018), I took a music class called "Sonic Space and Form." This class was an exploration of mixing, shaping, and controlling musical sound, textures, and form in recorded, electronic, and live music contexts. We learned how to record and mix music and learned about various aspects of audio processing and audio production techniques, as well as gained proficiency in using digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as Ableton Live and Logic Pro X.
I've always loved listening and playing to music, but this class greatly expanded my musical capabilities. Ever since then, I have explored recording and mixing my own music. Hope you enjoy!
